Here is a list of the 25 best and most useful MAC OS X software from all around .These have been tried and tested by me on my Macbook .You will find a useful and detailed review on each of these applications/software .Most of these are Freeware Macintosh Software but there are few shareware too. So if you see something you like then just download it ad try for it yourself.



1.APPLE BOOT CAMP (freeware)



Macintosh Boot camp is a new MAC software provided by apple to install and run Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista on a Intel- based Mac computer .When you use either OS on your Mac, your Windows apps will run at native speed. Windows applications have full access to multiple processors and multiple cores.The OS X Boot Camp Assistant sets up your hard drive for you. It leaves all your Mac data in place while it creates a separate partition on your drive for Windows.




2.APPZAPPER (shareware)

AppZapper is for people who want to try new apps while knowing they can uninstall them easily. 3.BURN (freeware)
Burn is an OS X burning software that allows you to burn on most common disks.with burn you can burn data disks, Audio CDs and MP3 disks, four kind of video disks. VCD, SVCD, DVD and DivX disks and normal disk images,cue/bin images and toc images. So it is a application that solves all your burnig issues.

4.CARBON COPY CLONER (freeware)
CCC is a backup utility application.CCC features an interface designed to make the cloning and backup procedure very intuitive. In addition to general backup, CCC can also clone one hard drive to another, copying every single block or file to create an exact replica of your source hard drive.Its an OS X backup software.




5.CROSSOVER (shareware)

Growl is a notification system for Mac OS X. It allows applications that support Growl to send you notifications.Notifications are a way for your applications to provide you with new information, without you having to switch from the application you're already in.Growl for OS X offers complete control over which notifications are shown and displayed. You will not receive any notifications that you do not want, because you can easily turn notifications off.




8.iGETTER

iGetter is Safari’s download manager replacement software in OS X. Doesn’t take up too much resources and is easy to use. It greatly improves your download speed by using segmented downloading. You can also auto resume broken downloads, schedule downloads for low traffic periods,shut down on completion, etc.It is a shareware so try it first if you like it then buy.


9.iSLEEP (freeware)

iSleep adds a sleep timer to iTunes with a fade out effect. Type in how many minutes you need to sleep in, choose an option (Quit, Sleep, Shut down and more) and click "Go to bed." That's it. iSleep supports DVD Player too, the chosen action happens automatically at the end of the movie (manual timer available too if desired). A built-in alarm clock also plays iTunes or Whamb at a desired date & time with a fade-in effect.

You can also put your Mac OS X to sleep and wake it up automatically to play music through this software!

Although there are numerous other programs which do the same thing, none had quite the feature set I was looking for.The MenuMeters monitors are true SystemUIServer plugins also known as Menu Extras). This means they can be reordered using command-drag and remember their positions in the menubar across logins and restarts.

13.PERIAN

14.QUICKSILVER

Quicksilver allows you to navigate to what you need quickly and easily, while keeping your hands on the keyboard. For example, if you want to launch an application hidden in the depths of your file system, simply activate Quicksilver with a keystroke, type a few letters of the application's name, then hit Return or Enter to launch it. Start using Quicksilver and you won't be able to imagine using a Mac OS X without it.

ShakesPeer is a p2p, or peer to peer file sharing Macintosh Software. It is a client for the Direct Connect protocol. The main goal of ShakesPeer is to create a fully featured client, compatible with DC++, that runs on Mac OS X with a native Aqua GUI.




16.SIZZLING KEYS

Sizzling keys allows you to control iTunes with keyboard shortcuts from any application. Pause, adjust the volume or skip a track without leaving the current application. Far more efficient than using iTunes itself. As well, one is generally using a lot more keyboard shortcuts when on the go anyhow. SizzlingKeys doesn't stop at the basic controls. You also get a beautiful status window so you can see what's playing. Search and playlist selection are also built into the app. In short, you get full control of your music without having to bring up the iTunes window.

Incredible great Macintosh Software for PDF reading. The new version is almost perfect certainly in the field of full screen reading and presentation. Easier to use as a viewer than Adobe Reader.SKIM is also a note-taker for OS X. It is designed to help you read and annotate scientific papers in PDF, but is also great for viewing any PDF file.

SMARTReporter is an application that can warn you of some hard disk drive failures before they actually happen! It does so by periodically polling the S.M.A.R.T. status of your hard disk drive. S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a technology built into most modern hard disk drives that acts as an "early warning system" for pending hard disk drive problems.Its a good a Macintosh Software download.





20.SMC Fan Control

SMCFan Control lets the user set the minimum speed of the build in fans. So you can increase your minimum fan speed to make your Intel mac run cooler. However in order not to damage your machines SMCFan Control let's you not set minimum speed to a rate under Apple's defaults.Keeps about 15 °C cooler than when it isn’t running. A great little program that is very unobtrusive, easy to turn on and off at will.



21.STUFFIT EXPANDER

StuffIt Expander expands and decodes any compressed file you download from the Internet or receive attached to your email. It expands StuffIt archives, unzips Zip files (created by WinZip® or other zip utilities), and decompresses Unix's .tar, .gzip and .bzip files.





22.TEMPERATURE MONITOR

Temperature Monitor is an application to read out all accessible temperature sensors in Macintosh computers. 23.TINKERTOOL

TinkerTool is an application that gives you access to additional preference settings Apple has built into Mac OS X. This allows to activate hidden features in the operating system and in some of the applications delivered with the system. The tool makes sure that preference changes can only affect the current user. You don't need administrative privileges to use the tool. With this design, it is no problem to use TinkerTool in professional networks where users have restricted permissions.





24.UNARCHIVER

The Unarchiver is a much more capable replacement for "BOMArchiveHelper.app", the built-in archive unpacker program in Mac OS X. The Unarchiver is designed to handle many more formats than BOMArchiveHelper, and to better fit in with the design of the Finder. It can also handle filenames in foreign character sets, created with non-English versions of other operating systems. Supported file formats include Zip, Tar-GZip, Tar-BZip2, Rar, 7-zip, LhA, StuffIt and many other more or less obscure formats.



25.VLC Media Player (freeware)


Last but not the least the OS X video software,VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.It is an excellet media player playing almost all the formats . aother must have application.
